Our Neighborhood

Oh Nutria

In a Salem neighborhood, cozy and neat,
Nutria arrived with tiny feet,
From far-off lands, they made their way,
Now in our Mill Race, they love to play.

They burrow and munch in yards so green,
But here we care for every scene,
With thoughtful plans and gentle hands,
We find a way to share our lands.

Neighbors gather, young and old,
With stories shared and tales retold,
We learn together, bright and true,
How to keep our homes safe and new.

In Salem’s heart, where families grow,
We work with nature’s ebb and flow,
With kindness guiding what we do,
We’ll make a space for all things new.

Ps. Our nutria was too shy and fast for us to take a picture, so we had a professional model stand in.

How Rabbits Die

The streets are filled with fur and fear in a world where rabbits rule—and perish.
