Despite preservation efforts, some of the most iconic landmarks from Salem’s past have become victims of the wrecking ball. The newest exhibit at the Willamette Heritage Center features the rubble, and saves remnants of many of Salem’s lost buildings. Discover how Salem’s skyline has changed over time and how preserving historic structures can make a difference to our community’s economics, livability, and sustainability.
“History in Rubble: Salem’s Lost Buildings” can be enjoyed till December 21, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm, at the Willamette Heritage Center. Included with museum admission $10 Adults, $8 Seniors (65+), $6 Students (with ID), $6 Youth (6 – 17).
