We plan litter pickups twice a year. Martin Luther King Day is traditionally such a moment, with another one taking place in the fall. SESNA works with the city to get equipment and bags, hitting parks and targeted areas that collect the most litter.
Many individuals, schools and organisations have volunteered to help out in the past. Similarly, SESNA has supported others organising their own events by both finding more hands and procuring city support such as tools, containers and transport.
