Two homes and 13 th St. Nursery win Bright Spot awards

Congratulations to three property owners in SESNA for beautifying the neighborhood – a refreshing, inspiring sight to see during these stressful pandemic times. Take a walk through our neighborhood – you’ll notice so many improvements to homes and yards this year, which makes our choices even harder!

SESNA is placing Bright Spot signs at 1865 Trade St. SE, a home owned by Melina and Kyle Tomson, (Grand Prize, Budnick Award); the home at 265 18th St. SE, owned by Carolyn Gutman-Dey and Graham Dey; and the newly refurbished 13th Street Nursery at 1928 13th Street owned by Scott and Dianna King, for most improved business.

Our winners will be honored with a Bright Spot yard sign and the Budnick Award winner will also receive a gift certificate from a neighborhood businesses.

Regards from you SESNA Beautification Committee: Shannon, Seleste and Marcia.
